I am very excited to launch our new picture book ‘Clipper & Clawzo’. I have teamed up with a local author and friend Tim Ewins to create our new childrens book. Tim wrote the story about 2 bubbler crabs who get separated and through some peril manage to find each other again; a tale of adventure, friendship and football!
I had a lot of fun illustrating this book. Instead of hand drawing everything on paper and scanning in (my usual method!) I used my new laptop with drawing pen to draw digitally. I was a bit unsure about if I would enjoy this process or not but I really did. It was fun to play with the different strokes and effects (I know I am late to the game on this!) We had our book launch in our local book shop ‘Books on the hill’ in Clevedon and had a great time, Tim read the book and I did a ‘How to draw a crab’ workshop for the kids (and some adults!).
