Last week I painted a mural at my daughters school. I ran a drawing competition for the kids to draw their class animal to incorporate into the mural. I went with quite a bright abstract design with the kids drawings complimenting the rough landscape, I really love kids drawings and they all did so well! Luckily my daughter won the Kingfishers class!
When I was about 10 years old I did a similar thing for the local swimming pool and my drawings were chosen for the pool and I loved it so wanted to create something for the kids to remember and see on a daily basis, art is so important to a lot of children but they don’t often get the time to express it.
